LTO EMISSION TESTING CENTER

An LTO emission testing center, also known as a Private Emission Testing Center (PETC), is a privately-owned facility authorized by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to conduct emission tests on motor vehicles. These tests ensure that vehicles meet the emission standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the LTO.

MEDICAL LABORATORY

An LTO medical laboratory refers to a clinic accredited by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to conduct medical examinations and issue medical certificates for driver's license applications and renewals. These clinics are authorized to perform physical, optical, and psychological evaluations, ensuring drivers meet the necessary health standards.

DRIVING SCHOOLS

To obtain a student permit and eventually a driver's license in the Philippines, aspiring drivers need to enroll in a driving school accredited by the Land Transportation Office (LTO). This involves completing a mandatory 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) and, for Non-Professional Driver's License applicants, an 8-hour Practical Driving Course (PDC).

INSURANCE PROVIDERS

Several insurance companies are accredited by the LTO in the Philippines to offer CTPL insurance, including Pioneer, Malayan, BPI/MS, and more. CTPL insurance primarily covers the vehicle owner's liability for bodily injury or death to a third party resulting from an accident involving the insured vehicle.

NEW REGISTRATION UNITS (NRU)

These NRUs facilitate online registration of new vehicles, helping owners receive their Certificate of Registration and plates quickly after purchase. These units are responsible for processing the documents, collecting fees, and issuing the Certificate of Registration (CR) and license plates. In the National Capital Region (NCR), there are several NRUs located within different District Offices.
